Foster Family Christmas Basket

Austin Angels exists to serve foster families and kids. This Christmas they are are requesting volunteers to create Christmas baskets for foster families. Once you sign up to create baskets you will be assigned a family and be given more information about your family. You will have the option to deliver the basket to the foster family yourself or you may deliver them to a set drop off location and an Austin Angels staff member will deliver it for you. An online liability waiver must be completed for any adult 18+ attending the drop-off.

If you choose to have a staff member drop off the basket for you, you will need to have it delivered to Austin Angels by December 4th. If you are delivering it directly to the family, further communication with the family will be necessary to determine a good date for drop off (likely in the 1st or 2nd week of December).

Christmas Party

Upbring Foster in Texas is the largest provider of foster care and adoption services in Texas. Their agency is engaged in responding to the immediate need for more families who are able to help infants, teens, siblings, and children with special needs in the foster care system.

They are looking for volunteers to help with their annual Christmas Party for foster families on December 9th from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. Volunteers can sign up to serve food, run activities, and help with setup and cleanup. Volunteers will need to be 18 years or older unless accompanied by an adult. Volunteers will need to complete a background check prior to serving including FBI fingerprinting. This is a great way for missional communities to serve together!

This would include cooking a main dish, sides and dessert and taking it to the survivor and her family. The Ronald McDonald Family Rooms provide a place of respite for parents and families of children hospitalized in the NICU at St. David's North Austin Medical Center and at Dell Children's Medical Center. Ronald McDonald house is in need of volunteers willing to donate items from our Holiday Wish List. Items donated will be given as gifts to the families staying at the House during Christmas. We kindly accept new, unused and unexpired items and environmentally-friendly products. This opportunity is flexible and can be done on volunteer group's time/schedule.
