Austin Partners In Education provides classroom coaches who have a special combined role as tutor and mentor. Math coaches provide consistent, positive support for 2-3 middle school students each week. This is a great way to support teachers, motivate students, and share life experiences that help make learning math relevant. Volunteers will attend an orientation training and receive a volunteer math binder (which includes steps and answers). A criminal background check will be run, and volunteers are asked to commit to 45 minutes/week for a semester, or preferably the school year.
